Bolat underscored the importance of tradesmen reaching affordable and large-scale financing sources more easily within this scope. He stated that they anticipate 250 thousand tradesmen to benefit from loans this year, noting that the new credit limits apply to all Treasury-backed interest-supported tradesman loans. VEHICLE LOANS Mentioning that in addition to new vehicles, used vehicles up to 5 years old are included in the vehicle acquisition loan, Bolat said, “Our tradesmen and artisans will be able to benefit from a wider selection of vehicles through this loan, with a term of up to 48 months, a limit of up to 2.5 million Turkish lira, and a 50% interest discount, for automobile, van, truck, minibus, midibus, bus, and similar commercial vehicle acquisitions.” Bolat stated that 7,710 tradesmen have benefited from this loan since its implementation in 2017 until February 28, 2025, with the financing amount reaching 4 billion 857 million Turkish lira. BUSINESS PREMISES ACQUISITION LOANS Minister Bolat pointed out that the business premises acquisition loan is only used for the purchase of a workplace where commercial activities will be carried out, stating that tradesmen can benefit from this loan up to 2.5 million Turkish lira with a term of 60 months and a 50% interest discount. Reminding that 5,995 tradesmen have benefited from this loan from its initiation in 2017 until the end of February this year, Bolat reported that 3 billion 345 million Turkish lira of financing has been provided within this scope. Bolat noted that there has been a 33.3% increase in the business loan limit compared to the previous amount, and a 66.6% increase in the investment loan limit. He stated that these steps will contribute to economic growth and employment.
