A fight broke out at an athletics competition held in the city of Frisco, Texas. A student lost their life in the altercation. In a statement by the Frisco Police Department, it was mentioned that a fight occurred between two students during the competition, which was attended by many schools in the area yesterday morning. It was reported that one of the students was seriously injured as a result of being stabbed during the fight. Despite all the interventions by the police and medical teams who arrived at the scene, 17-year-old student Austin Metcalf lost their life. The police announced that 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, a student at Frisco Centennial High School, was taken into custody as the suspect of the attack and charged with first-degree murder. Authorities stated that the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
