Fire erupts at nuclear power plant in Taiwan

A fire broke out at a nuclear power plant in Taiwan. Officials announced that there was no radiation leakage in the area.
The fire occurred at the Maanshan Nuclear Power Plant in Pingtung, Taiwan. Officials stated that the fire started in the cooling units at around 11:30 local time and that there was no hazardous situation. Firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to control the fire within approximately 10 minutes. In a statement issued by the operator of the plant, it was reported that there was no radiation leakage following the fire and that operations were continuing safely.
