In the city of Kocani in North Macedonia, a fire broke out in a nightclub where over a thousand people were present.

DETAILS ABOUT THE FIRE ON NTV BROADCAST
Journalist Eran Nasip, based in Skopje, provided the latest details about the tragedy on an NTV broadcast. Eran stated: “The latest information I received before joining the broadcast is that 53 people have died, and hundreds are injured. It is reported that a fire broke out during a concert attended by 1500 people. According to allegations, the fire started from flares used onstage during a performance. The flares caused a sudden fire, leading to the roof catching fire and causing a stampede. As 1500 people tried to exit the venue, they ended up trampling each other. Of course, there are also cases of people being asphyxiated, but as I mentioned, current information points to 53 confirmed deaths and over a hundred injuries. It was a concert by one of Macedonia’s most famous bands, with attendees from all over the country. Macedonians are currently searching for their children, with some reports indicating that there were individuals under the age of 18 present. The death toll is expected to rise.”
