First Friday prayer of Ramadan held at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Around 90,000 people in Jerusalem performed the first Friday prayer of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque under the shadow of Israel’s restrictions. Due to the restrictions, only men over the age of 55, women over the age of 50, and children under 12 were allowed to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Palestinians flocked to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of East Jerusalem under Israeli restrictions to perform the first Friday prayer of Ramadan.
As a result of Israeli restrictions, only men over 55, women over 50, and children under 12 were permitted to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Palestinians passed through Israeli checkpoints to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Muslims who were prevented from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque performed the Friday prayer at nearby locations, while 3,000 armed security personnel were stationed at Israeli checkpoints.
The Jerusalem Islamic Waqf Authority announced that approximately 90,000 people performed the Friday prayer at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
