Football Manager 2025 game canceled

Sega and Sports Interactive have announced the cancellation of Football Manager 25, which had its release postponed twice. The company stated that they will focus on the next game in the series now.
Sega and Sports Interactive have canceled Football Manager 25 and announced that they will now focus on the next game in the series.
In a statement, it was mentioned, “As the Sports Interactive team, after detailed internal discussions and meticulous evaluations with SEGA, we regret to announce that we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the launch of Football Manager 25.”
The game had been introduced as the biggest leap in the series so far.
Due to previous setbacks, FM25 had been postponed twice, and the latest delay would have caused the game to be released in the middle of the football season.
Furthermore, it meant that Sports Interactive would have to sell both FM25 and the anticipated FM26 in the same calendar year.
PRE-ORDER CUSTOMERS TO RECEIVE AUTOMATIC REFUNDS However, FM25 has now been fully canceled. Sports Interactive apologized for this situation in a statement today and announced that everyone who pre-ordered the game will receive an automatic refund.
The statement said, “We thank the numerous players who pre-ordered FM25 for their trust and support. We are truly sorry for disappointing you. We know this news will be a great disappointment, especially after the release date had been changed twice before and while eagerly awaiting the first gameplay showcase.”
WILL FM24 RECEIVE AN UPDATE?
As previously announced, there will not be an update with new player data for the latest game in the series, FM24.
Sports Interactive mentioned that this would require a significant workload and would distract critical resources from developing the next game that requires our full focus.
