Foxconn unveils its first major language model for artificial intelligence

Foxconn, one of the world’s largest electronic manufacturers, has released its first major artificial intelligence language model. The supplier for Apple, Foxconn, has made a significant move in the field of artificial intelligence by announcing the launch of their first major language model. The company stated that they plan to utilize this technology to enhance production and supply chain management. The largest electronics manufacturing services company in the world revealed that the model, named FoxBrain, utilized 120 units of Nvidia’s H100 graphic processing units. The process was reportedly completed in approximately four weeks. It was highlighted that this is the first major language model optimized for traditional Chinese and Taiwanese language styles. While Foxconn mentioned that there is a slight performance difference compared to China’s DeepSeek model, they stated that overall performance is very close to global standards. Initially designed for internal applications, FoxBrain covers areas such as data analysis, decision support, document collaboration, mathematics, reasoning, problem-solving, and code generation. Additionally, Foxconn noted that they received support from the Taipei-1 supercomputer. Taipei-1, Taiwan’s largest supercomputer operated by Nvidia in the southern city of Kaohsiung, was also mentioned in their statement.
