Free internet era at train stations

Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Uraloğlu, announced the start of free internet service at 63 train stations.

Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, reported the launch of free internet service at train stations owned by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD). Highlighting that this service was initially implemented on high-speed train (YHT) lines in Ankara, Uraloğlu stated, “Free Wi-Fi service is provided at 63 different stations located in strategic locations such as Istanbul, Eskişehir, Konya, Sivas, Malatya, Kars, Erzincan, Batman, Mardin, Diyarbakır, and Van.” Uraloğlu also mentioned that an average of 2,576 users access the Wi-Fi service daily, with 124,713 citizens benefiting from it so far.

Uraloğlu informed that with this service, business people can continue their work while traveling and passengers can utilize their waiting times efficiently.

Furthermore, Uraloğlu noted that all cybersecurity tests have been completed and no security vulnerabilities targeting the institution’s network were found.
