Free Train Tickets for Young People from the European Union!

The European Union (EU) is set to distribute 36,000 free travel passes for train journeys to young people aged 18 residing in countries associated with the Erasmus+ program. In a written statement issued by the EU Commission, it was announced that under the program named “DiscoverEU,” young individuals will be provided with 36,000 travel cards. The applications have commenced today, and successful applicants will be able to travel by train across Europe for 30 days between July 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026. It was stated in the announcement that individuals born between July 1, 2006, and June 30, 2007, who reside in countries associated with the Erasmus+ program such as EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, and Turkey, are eligible. The deadline for applications is scheduled to end at 1:00 PM on April 16, GMT. The EU’s grant program covering education, youth, and sports fields, Erasmus+, launched in 2018 and implemented from 2021 to 2027, has already provided over 355,000 travel passes through “DiscoverEU.”
