Galataport expects a near 2.5-fold increase in the number of cruise ship passengers using Istanbul as its main port by 2025, reaching 225,000.

There is an anticipation of an increase in the number of ships and passengers using Galataport as the main port for both the beginning and end of voyages in Istanbul.

An increase in the total number of passengers visiting the port throughout the year is also predicted. While the number of passengers using Galataport as the main port was 96,000 in 2024, a 134% increase is expected to bring it to 225,000 by 2025. Furthermore, after concluding 2024 with 164 ships and 400,000 passengers, Galataport Istanbul plans to increase its number of voyages by 37% and its number of passengers by 46% in 2025, welcoming 225 ships and 585,000 passengers.
