Gaza Hunger Crisis: Flour Stocks Depleted Completely

As Israel’s massacre in Gaza continues, a hunger crisis has erupted in the region due to a month-long halt in aid deliveries. Hamas announced that flour stocks in Gaza have been completely depleted.

In a statement from Hamas, it was announced that flour stocks have been entirely exhausted and bakeries have completely shut down.

Hamas’ statement indicated that Gaza has effectively entered a period of starvation, considered as one of the worst humanitarian disasters in modern history.

“We hold the international community and institutions accountable for not fulfilling their humanitarian and legal responsibilities,” the statement read.

112 PEOPLE KILLED IN ATTACKS THROUGHOUT THE DAY

Meanwhile, Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip persist.

The Israeli army targeted a displaced Palestinian community at Al-Tuffah District and a school called Dar al-Arqam, along with a mosque and numerous civilian settlements during their attacks throughout the day.

At least 112 people lost their lives in the attacks, with 31 fatalities reported at Dar al-Arqam School.

ISRAEL EXPANDS OCCUPATION IN GAZA

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced on April 2nd that they had expanded their attacks by breaking the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s army has carried out over 50,000 fatal attacks on Gaza, targeting hospitals, shelters, and tents of displaced Palestinians. Almost all of Gaza’s infrastructure has been destroyed due to the attacks, with approximately 90% of the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza displaced at least once since October 7. Displaced Palestinians are caught in the midst of a humanitarian disaster, trying to survive under harsh conditions while seeking protection from Israeli attacks in a Gaza where humanitarian aid access is obstructed.
