German intelligence: Russia may attack a NATO country

German intelligence and military have claimed that Russia may launch an attack on a NATO country. In a joint report by West German Radio and Television Corporation, North German Radio and Television Corporation, and Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper, an assessment analysis prepared by the German Foreign Intelligence Service and the German Armed Forces was presented. The analysis argues that Russia poses a lasting threat to European peace and could potentially attack a NATO country. Describing Russia as seeing itself in a systemic conflict with the West, the analysis alleges that Russia is willing to achieve its imperialist goals through military power. It highlights that Russian armed forces have been operating from a strong position in Ukraine for some time, showing no signs of willingness to compromise and indicating a desire to prolong the conflict.
