Google Assistant to Retire

Google announced that it will be replacing the Google Assistant, found on Android phones, with the artificial intelligence model Gemini by the end of 2025. As a reflection of the latest developments in artificial intelligence, tech giant Google revealed its plans to gradually retire Google Assistant and introduce the new generation AI model, Gemini, aiming to provide users with a faster, smarter, and more comprehensive experience. Gemini, a product of Google’s latest artificial intelligence research, will offer users more personalized responses and advanced interaction features. Standout new features include recalling past conversations, screen sharing, and live video capabilities, all intended to enhance productivity and creativity for both casual users and professionals. Google emphasized that it will continue to support the needs of current users during this major transition. Specifically, Google Assistant will remain functional on devices with less than 2 GB of RAM or using versions of Android older than 9. This is to ensure that even users with older devices can have a seamless experience. Google states that with Gemini, a new era in digital assistants is emerging, where the transformation is not just a technological upgrade, but also a change that will integrate into users’ daily lives and offer creative solutions. Designed to rapidly adapt to the increasingly digital processes in both the business world and daily life, Gemini will provide users not only with a digital assistant but also with an intelligent helper.
