Governor’s House in Pennsylvania Set on Fire

The house of Josh Shapiro, the Democrat Governor of Pennsylvania in the United States, was set on fire. It was reported that a 38-year-old suspect with incendiary devices was arrested.
The Pennsylvania State Police reported that an investigation has been launched into the incident where the house of Governor Josh Shapiro in Pennsylvania was set on fire.
A written statement regarding the incident was made by the Pennsylvania State Police. The statement mentioned that the Harrisburg Fire Department intervened in the fire at Governor Shapiro’s house around 2:00 am, stating “The investigation is ongoing, but the Pennsylvania State Police are ready to declare this as an arson.” The statement noted that the fire was completely extinguished but caused serious damage to the residence, also mentioning that the Governor and his family were inside at the time of the fire but were safely evacuated without harm. The statement further indicated that an investigation was initiated with coordination among different agencies, and a reward of $10,000 will be given to those who contribute to identifying the culprit. Governor Shapiro expressed his relief on social media about no one getting injured and the successful extinguishing of the fire. He also thanked authorities on behalf of himself and his family. SUSPECT IN CUSTODY Pennsylvania State Police official George Bivens announced that 38-year-old suspect Cody Balmer, who had homemade incendiary devices in his possession, has been taken into custody. District Attorney Fran Chardo of Pennsylvania also stated that Balmer, suspected of setting Governor Shapiro’s house on fire, will be prosecuted for crimes such as attempted murder, terrorism, and aggravated arson.
