Growing Tesla Protests in the US

Demonstrations protesting Elon Musk’s Tesla dealerships in the US continue. In the United States, hundreds of people are gathering in front of Tesla’s dealerships to protest the federal budget cuts by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), where Elon Musk serves as the CEO. Reports in the US media indicate that protesters in Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and the capital Washington DC have come together in front of Tesla dealerships. Hundreds of demonstrators called for not buying vehicles from Tesla, where Musk is the CEO, as a way to protest against DOGE’s federal cuts. Protesters chanted slogans like “Sell your Teslas, sell your shares, join the strike. Harming Tesla is stopping Musk.” Since the beginning of the month, demonstrations have been held in different parts of the country in front of Tesla’s car dealerships, where Musk is the CEO, and there have been arrests during the protests. US President Donald Trump, to show his support for Musk, who he appointed as a senior advisor, purchased a Tesla vehicle. Trump emphasized that violent actions against Tesla dealerships would be considered “domestic terrorism” and would have severe consequences for the perpetrators.
