Hamas’ Ceasefire Statement: We will release hostages if Israel withdraws and stops attacks

A new message from Hamas regarding a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange has emerged from Gaza. Hamas’ leader in Gaza, Halil el-Hayye, stated that all Israeli hostages will be released in exchange for Israel ending the war and withdrawing from Gaza. He responded to the “partial” ceasefire proposals from Israel by rejecting such partial ceasefire offers, stating that attacks on Gaza will resume once the proposed ceasefire ends. Hayye expressed readiness to immediately begin negotiations on a comprehensive package that includes Israel ending its attacks, completely withdrawing from Gaza, initiating reconstruction, and ending the blockade in exchange for releasing all detainees. He welcomed the U.S. Special Envoy for Hostage Affairs, Adam Boehler’s stance on resolving both the war and detainees’ issues together, aligning with Hamas’ position.
