The video released by the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades today featured the images of Ohad Ben Ami, Eli Sharabi, and Or Levy in a tunnel in the Gaza Strip. The footage captured moments of the prisoners’ progress through the tunnel before being handed over to the Red Cross, as well as excerpts from the ceremony held on Salahaddin Street in the city center of Deir al-Balah. Ohad Ben Ami, one of the released prisoners, is known to be a dual citizen of Germany and Israel. Of the Palestinian prisoners released by Israel, 18 were serving life sentences, 54 had been sentenced to long prison terms, and 111 had been detained in the Gaza Strip after October 7, 2023.
