Heat Records Broken in 13 Provinces and 17 Districts

According to the data from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Meteorology General Directorate, heat records for March were broken in 13 provinces and 17 districts across Turkey compared to seasonal norms. A warm air wave on March 15-16 led to summer-like days nationwide. The average temperature measured was 10.2 degrees on 16 days this month, surpassing the seasonal norms by 2.5 degrees. In March, temperature records were broken in 13 provinces and 17 districts nationwide.
