In India’s Bihar state, 82 people lost their lives due to the rain, while in the country’s most populous state of Uttar Pradesh, 18 people died as a result of lightning and storms. In Nepal, 8 people died due to lightning strikes and heavy rainfall. Weather forecasts in the Indian media predict more rainfall in the region in the coming days.
