Historic Landing on the Moon

An American private company has successfully landed its spacecraft on the Moon. This marks the second time in history that a private company’s vehicle has landed on the lunar surface. Firefly Aerospace successfully landed its spacecraft named “Blue Ghost Mission 1” on the Moon’s surface. The spacecraft from the Texas-based company landed on a crater in the northeast region of the Moon. The spacecraft contains 10 different scientific instruments, including a device analyzing lunar soil, a radiation-resistant computer, and test equipment for navigation systems. NASA aims to establish infrastructure for manned lunar missions in the coming years by utilizing technologies developed by private companies. Last year, on February 22, a spacecraft produced by Intuitive Machines successfully landed on the Moon. This marked the first lunar landing with a privately-owned spacecraft in history.
