Holiday preparations in tourism are ongoing. Occupancy rates in hotels are expected to reach up to 80% during the holiday. There is also a high demand for early reservations from abroad. It is anticipated that the holiday season in tourism will be busy. There is less than two weeks left until the Ramadan holiday. This year, the school break coincides with the holiday. Students will go on vacation on March 31st and return to classes on April 4th. This situation has increased expectations in the domestic market. The current occupancy rate of 30% is expected to reach the 80s. One out of every 10 hotels in tourism areas is currently open this month. All facilities will be open starting from the middle of next month. Sector officials emphasize that holiday demand from abroad is higher compared to last year. There is a noted 10% increase in early reservations. It is stated that demand has decreased for the Greek islands due to earthquakes and interest has shifted towards Turkey.
