Honda Will Move Car Production from Mexico and Canada to the US

Honda has announced that it will move some production activities from Mexico and Canada to the United States.

Japanese car manufacturer Honda Motor is aiming for 90% of vehicles sold in the US to be locally produced, therefore planning to shift some car production activities from Mexico and Canada to the US.

According to a report in the Nikkei newspaper, in order to combat the tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on car imports, the Japanese company is reportedly planning to increase car production in the US by up to 30% in the next two to three years. As of now, the Honda spokesperson could not be reached for questions regarding the issue.
