To ensure a more fair distribution of the support provided to all electricity subscribers currently and to encourage the efficient use of energy resources. What is the average monthly electricity consumption in homes in Turkey? The average consumption in homes is 200 kilowatt-hours per month. What range of consumption does the new application cover? The application covers annual consumptions of 5,000 kilowatt-hours in 2024, as well as monthly consumptions exceeding an average of 417 kilowatt-hours. What is the current billing amount for 417 kilowatt-hours? The current tariff is 1047 lira. How many subscribers does Turkey have for electricity? There are 42.2 million residential subscribers in Turkey. How many subscribers will be affected by the new application? Approximately 1.2 million subscribers, which is about 3% of total subscribers, will be affected. Will there be any changes in the situation of the remaining 97% of subscribers? 97% of the residential subscribers will continue to be supported. What will be the situation of residential consumers whose consumption is below 5,000 kilowatt-hours in 2024? These consumers will continue to benefit from the support as before. Consumption below 8 kilowatt-hours (first tier) will be supported by 60%, while consumption above 8 kilowatt-hours (second tier) will be supported by 40%. Within the residential subscriber group, temporary accommodation centers affiliated with AFAD, facilities used for the supply and distribution of drinking water owned by village municipalities, drinking water subscriptions belonging to villages that have been transformed into neighborhoods in metropolitan areas, agricultural irrigation subscriptions, places of worship, Alevi worship houses, neighborhood service buildings, service facilities of associations and foundations excluding economic enterprises, and their branches, families of martyrs and combatants/disabled veterans, consumers connected to devices for health reasons will continue to benefit from state support as before. What is the consumption limit for the new application in industry and commercial establishments? 15,000 kilowatt-hours annually. How many industrial and commercial establishments will be affected by the new application? It is predicted that approximately 20,000 consumers in the industrial subscriber group and approximately 565,000 consumers in the Public/Private/Other group will exceed the limit. How much will the bills increase for consumers exceeding the consumption limit in industry and commercial establishments? There will be a maximum increase of 11%. If a subscriber consuming above the limit starts consuming below the limit, how will they benefit from state support? If the consumption of the relevant consumer falls below the specified limit in 2025, they will begin to benefit from the tariff supported by the state again in 2026.
