Ice cream takes the lead as price champion in February

In the month of February, the highest price increase of 17.28% was seen in ice cream. The product that experienced the biggest price drop was outpatient medical services with a decrease of 23.29%. According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the highest price increase in consumer prices in February was in ice cream at 17.28%, while the most significant price decrease was in outpatient medical services at 23.29%. Following the price hike in ice cream, there were increases of 16.79% in pre-school and primary education, and 15.76% in secondary education. Other products that showed significant price increases in February include butter with 13.72%, railway and intracity passenger transportation with 11.44%, and electricity with 10.7%. On the other hand, the product with the largest price decrease last month was outpatient medical services at 23.29%, followed by pet-related products at 18.35%, air passenger transportation at 9.49%, children’s clothing at 8.82%, women’s clothing at 7.84%, and fresh vegetables at 7.69%.
