Import Surveillance on Some Polyester Products

The decision to implement surveillance on the import of certain polyester products has been made. The Amendment Notification on the Application of Surveillance on Imports Prepared by the Ministry of Trade has been published in the Official Gazette and has come into effect. Accordingly, surveillance will be applied to the import of some polyester products. Products categorized as “others (excluding polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT), polybutylene succinate (PBS), polybutylene succinate terephthalate (PBST))” with a customs value set at 3.5 dollars per kilogram will undergo surveillance upon import. Furthermore, another notification published in the Official Gazette includes certain definition changes under the import surveillance applied to charging stations for electric vehicles.
