In-Home Care Assistance Payments Initiated

The Minister of Family and Social Services, Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, has announced the initiation of payments for In-Home Care Assistance. In her written statement, Minister Göktaş recalled that In-Home Care Assistance was launched in 2006 with the aim of primarily supporting disabled individuals within their families. Providing information that each eligible recipient receives a monthly payment of 10,125 Turkish liras under the In-Home Care Assistance program, Göktaş noted that they have started depositing a total of 5.4 billion liras into accounts this month for those fully dependent citizens and their families being cared for at home. Approximately 544,000 citizens benefit from In-Home Care Assistance on a monthly basis. Minister Göktaş expressed her well wishes for the payments to all disabled citizens and their families, emphasizing the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to ensure the transparency and sustainability of rights-based social assistance in the field of disabilities.
CRITERIA FOR RECEIVING IN-HOME CARE ALLOWANCES: Individuals must have an average monthly income that is less than 2/3 of the net amount of the minimum wage. Furthermore, for those over the age of 18, the condition of being deemed “severely disabled” or “fully dependent” in the disabled health board report is required.
HOW MUCH IS THE 2025 IN-HOME CARE ASSISTANCE AMOUNT? The In-Home Care Assistance has been increased to 10,125 Turkish liras.
