Increase in Fund Deduction for Table Egg Export

The fund deduction applied to table egg exports has been raised from $0.5 to $1.5 per kilogram.

The Presidential Decree came into effect after being published in the Official Gazette. In a statement from the Ministry of Trade, attention was drawn to the goals of ensuring sustainable food supply in Turkey and meeting domestic consumption at reasonable prices for citizens. It was noted that following the regulation on February 25, 2025, a deduction of 50 cents per kilogram was implemented for table egg exports, which has now been increased to $1.5. The statement from the Ministry was as follows: “After evaluating the situation following the enforcement of the relevant regulation, despite seeing the disinflationary effects of the implementation, it was observed that upward price movements continued due to the ongoing external demand for eggs of Turkish origin. In order to contribute to price stability in table egg products and facilitate the access of our citizens to these products at reasonable prices, the deduction amount for table egg exports has been raised from $0.5 to $1.5 per kilogram with the Presidential Decree.

– In the upcoming period, we will continue to maintain a strong cooperation and coordinated effort with all relevant stakeholders, especially the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, in both public and private sectors. We will persistently use all policy and inspection tools within our scope of responsibilities and authorities to protect food supply and security, and prevent speculation in food markets.”
