However, the number of oil drilling rigs in the US has decreased by 16 in the past year. The price per barrel of Brent crude oil, which closed Thursday at $74.91, ended Friday at $75.02. Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil closed Friday at $71.29 per barrel. The price per barrel of WTI crude oil had finished Thursday at $71.26.
