Increase in YKS Fees

Applications have begun for this year’s Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) which will be held on 21-22 June. Candidates must apply by 3 March at the latest. There has been a 52.5% increase in the exam application fees.
Those who want to become university students can apply for the exam through ÖSYM Application Centers or ÖSYM’s Candidate Transactions System on the internet. The exam application guide has also been published. Accordingly, the application fees per session have increased from 295 lira to 450 lira. Therefore, candidates will pay 450 lira for the Basic Skills Test that every candidate must take.
Those who want to take the Field Proficiency Test (AYT) to enter a 4-year undergraduate program will need to pay a total of 900 lira. Candidates who will also take the Foreign Language Test will pay a total of 1350 lira in application fees. The deadline for applications is 3 March. Those who miss this date can apply for the exam late with an additional 50% fee from 11-13 March.
