Increase of 25% for Residential Electricity Subscribers

A 25% increase was implemented for residential electricity subscribers, 15% for public and private services, 10% for industry, and 12.4% for agricultural activities. Natural gas did not see an increase for residential subscribers. According to the EPDK statement, there was a 25% increase for residential electricity subscribers. The new tariffs will be effective from April 5, 2025. The announcement from EPDK stated: “Due to the increase in electricity generation and distribution costs, the final retail electricity sales prices have increased by 25% for residential subscriber group, 15% for public and private service sector subscriber group, 10% for industrial subscriber group, and 12.4% for agricultural activities subscriber group. With this increase, the amount to be paid for a residential subscriber with 100 kWh electricity consumption is 259.04 TL. Additionally, based on the wholesale natural gas prices announced on the BOTAŞ website: There is an average increase of 20% for industrial consumers and an average increase of 24.2% for electricity generation plants in the final natural gas sales prices.
