Increase of $4.5 billion in Central Bank reserves

The total reserves of the Central Bank increased by $4.5 billion last week, reaching $169.915 billion. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) has released its weekly money and bank statistics. As of March 7th, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves rose by $3.045 billion to $97.802 billion. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at $94.757 billion on February 28th. During this period, gold reserves also increased by $1.454 billion, rising from $70.659 billion to $72.113 billion. Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank increased by $4.498 billion from $165.417 billion to $169.915 billion in the week of March 7th compared to the previous week.
