An investigation has been initiated into those who intentionally spread misleading news causing unusual price and volume movements in the Borsa Istanbul stock market. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office took action following reports of extraordinary price movements in the Borsa Istanbul stock market in recent times. Within this scope, the Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into individuals who disseminate purposeful and misleading news leading to abnormal price and volume movements. It was reported that the investigation will proceed with examinations and reporting processes to be conducted by the Capital Markets Board (SPK).
