Israel and US Exile Plan Revealed: Seeking a Country in Africa

According to the American news agency Associated Press, the US and Israel have contacted officials from three East African countries to expel Palestinians from Gaza.

Israel and the US pushed ahead with President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan.

Based on a report by Associated Press citing US and Israeli officials, the US and Israel have reached out to officials from three East African countries to discuss using their lands for the resettlement of Palestinians from Gaza.

The contacts made with Sudan, Somalia, and the separatist region known as Somaliland reflect the determination of the US and Israel to advance a widely condemned plan that raises serious legal and ethical issues.

Given that all three places are struggling with poverty and sometimes violence, this proposal casts a shadow over Trump’s goal of relocating Palestinians in Gaza to a “beautiful area.”

Officials from Sudan stated that they rejected offers from the US, while officials from Somalia and Somaliland said they were not aware of any contact with the Associated Press.

President Donald Trump had previously stated that after a peace agreement, all Palestinians needed to leave Gaza, at least temporarily, claiming it would turn the region into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

However, in a statement made yesterday, Trump said that no Palestinian would be forcibly removed from Gaza.

EGYPT’S PLAN

In response to Trump’s plan, Egypt has prepared a new plan to be presented to the American administration, which was endorsed by the Arab League. Egypt’s plan envisions the renewal of Gaza without displacing Palestinians.
