Israel continued its massacres in Gaza, which has been ongoing since October 7th, by inflicting an indescribable pain on another family today. Six siblings in a vehicle targeted by an unmanned aerial vehicle lost their lives on Reshid Street in the west of Deir al-Balah, the central Gaza Strip.

The father prayed at his children’s funeral while the people of Gaza tried to console him.

The pain of burying six children in a single attack echoed deeply among the local community and on social media. SHATTERED HOPES ARE ALL THAT REMAIN According to local sources, there were no military elements on the youths inside the vehicle. An Israeli UAV targeted a civilian vehicle. Images emerged after the attack of a shattered vehicle, scattered personal belongings, and cries filled with sadness. The attack received widespread condemnation. Messages on social media included, “How can a mother bear so much pain in her heart?”, “This is not a war, it is the annihilation of a people.” Some of the reactions were as follows; “While the international community remains silent, the people of Gaza wake up to a new family tragedy every day. The loss experienced by the Abu Mehdi family is another sign that every household in Gaza has become a potential target. This attack not only destroyed a vehicle but also shattered a family’s future, dreams, and existence.” “Six siblings lost their lives in an Israeli attack on their vehicle in Deir al-Balah. I swear, the events that unfolded are an indescribable oppression and unbearable pain.” “Losing six children at once means having your entire life forcibly taken away. It’s like a mother and father being killed six times at the same moment. Their entire lives were shattered, burned. Those parents lost their hope, their future, everything they had, in a single horrific moment.” “A new dark morning in Gaza… A morning carrying unbearable pain and indescribable despair. So, who will mend these great fractures? Who will give those shattered parents a bit of peace? And who will finally put an end to this inhumanity that transcends all boundaries?” MASSACRE RAPIDLY CONTINUES AFTER CEASEFIRE As a result of the attack by the Israeli army on a vehicle in the west of Deir al-Balah in the central region of Gaza, 7 people, including 6 siblings, lost their lives.

Following the ceasefire that came into effect on January 19th, the Israeli army resumed its violent attacks on the morning of March 18th. Since the resumption of the Israeli army’s attacks, 1574 Palestinians, most of whom were elderly, women, and children, have lost their lives, while 4,115 people have been injured.

The number of Palestinians who have lost their lives in the attacks carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023 has risen to 50,944, with the number of injured reaching 116,156.
