Israel prohibits celebrations: Raids on homes, threats to families

Israeli soldiers raided the homes of two prisoners in the occupied West Bank before releasing Palestinians, warning their families not to hold any celebrations. According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli soldiers raided the homes of Palestinian prisoners Abdurrahman Mikdad and Musa Nevavire in the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem as part of the sixth round of the prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas. On the other hand, Israeli soldiers detained 5 Palestinians in raids on Jenin and Tulkarm, located in the northern West Bank. In Jenin, Mahmoud Faruk Al-Hayca, Rasim Abu Hasen, Ahmed Havshiyye, and Ibrahim Havshiyye were detained, while in Tulkarm, a Palestinian named Muhammed Amarine was also arrested by Israeli forces. In the sixth round of the prisoner exchange, today Hamas will release 3 Israeli male prisoners in exchange for Israel releasing a total of 369 Palestinian prisoners, including one dual U.S.-Israeli citizen and one Russian-Israeli citizen, in Gaza. The Palestinian prisoners released from the Ofer Military Prison in the occupied West Bank and the Ketziot Prison in southern Israel were reported to have been handed over to the Red Cross teams.
