Israeli army surrounds Rafah entirely

The Israeli army announced that it has taken full control of the Muraj axis located in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and completely surrounded Rafah. According to a report published on the X platform of the Israeli army radio, it was stated that the army made significant progress in the ground operation in the south of the Gaza Strip by taking full control of the Muraj axis. The army’s statement included the phrase, “Forces coming from the 36th Division and the 188th Armored Brigade have succeeded in completely controlling the Muraj axis and completely surrounding the city of Rafah.” The statement indicated that Rafah has been completely surrounded by Israeli forces, and the next stage involves strengthening control within the Muraj axis and preparing to expand the attack inside Rafah. The Muraj axis is a land corridor that extends from the Egyptian border to the vicinity of the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
