Israeli Forces Raid West Bank: 8 Palestinians Arrested

Israeli soldiers conducted raids in the occupied West Bank and arrested 8 Palestinians. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli soldiers raided several towns in the southern West Bank city of Hebron. The soldiers entered houses belonging to Palestinians, destroyed belongings, and arrested 7 people. Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers set up numerous military checkpoints at the entrances of Hebron city and its affiliated towns, villages, and refugee camps, restricting the movement of the people. Additionally, Israeli soldiers conducted a raid on the Ed-Duheisha Refugee Camp located in the city of Bethlehem in the West Bank, arresting one person. They also interrogated 20 detainees in an open area. Ever since the ceasefire in Gaza came into effect on Sunday, January 19th, the Israeli army initiated an attack on refugee camps in the northern West Bank, named the “Iron Wall” on Tuesday, January 21st. These attacks resulted in the deaths of several Palestinians and the arrest of hundreds. Since Israel’s attack on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, there has been an increase in arrests, raids, and attacks targeting Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. From October 7, 2023, until now, Israeli soldiers, along with Israeli settlers occupying Palestinian lands, have killed 941 Palestinians, including 168 children, injured about 7,000 people, and arrested 15,700 individuals in attacks in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
