Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: 63 Israeli Captives Still Held in Gaza Strip

Following the release of 6 Israeli captives in the seventh round of prisoner exchanges in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made statements. Netanyahu stated that there are still 63 Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip.
According to the post made through the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office X account, Netanyahu reported that a total of 192 Israeli captives, 147 of whom are alive and 45 deceased, have been handed over so far. Netanyahu expressed that they will work to bring back the 63 Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip. Issuing a threat by saying, “We will not forget and will not forgive,” Netanyahu claimed that they welcomed the release of 6 Israeli captives today with joy, but felt sorrow over the delivery of the bodies of 4 Israeli captives earlier in the week. OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION OF SHIRI BIBAS’ BODY
Moreover, Chen Kugel, the Director of the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute in Tel Aviv, officially confirmed last night that the body handed over to the International Red Cross by Hamas and brought to Israel was indeed that of Shiri Bibas, one of the Israeli captives, after conducting examinations. Hamas had presented a body believed to belong to one of the 4 Israeli captives killed in an Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip on February 20, in the scope of an agreement on a ceasefire and a prisoner exchange. Israel had claimed that the body believed to belong to Shiri Bibas belonged to a Palestinian woman. Addressing the possibility of confusion, Hamas announced last night that they handed over Shiri Bibas’ body. HAMAS HAD RELEASED 6 ISRAELI CAPTIVES
Hamas had released 6 Israeli captives held in the Gaza Strip today to the International Red Cross teams as part of the seventh round of prisoner exchanges, and the captives had crossed over to Israel. It had been reported that as a counterpart to the release of the 6 Israeli captives by Hamas, Israel would release 620 Palestinian captives held in prisons. The Israeli media had claimed that the decision to release Palestinian captives would be made based on the outcome of Netanyahu’s evening “security meeting.”
