Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s 2,000 Lira Ramadan Voucher

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) will provide 2,000 lira worth of Ramadan vouchers to those in need during the holy month of Ramadan. In order to support those in need and spread the spirit of Ramadan throughout the city, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) has prepared a comprehensive program for the holy month. According to the announcement from the IBB, support will be provided to those in need during Ramadan, along with various activities organized throughout the city. During Ramadan, support will be extended to 100 thousand households with 2,000 lira worth of Ramadan vouchers, 217 thousand people will be provided with hot meals in iftar tents, 58 thousand iftar meals will be served in city restaurants, and daily suhoor packages for 2 thousand people will be distributed to healthcare workers and their family members working in hospital emergency services. Furthermore, during Ramadan, 200 thousand Istanbul residents will continue to receive 1,500 lira deposited into their accounts monthly, while needy retirees and families living on minimum wage will receive a total of 615 thousand free loaves of bread through Halk Ekmek. Additionally, the IBB will organize concerts, theaters, film screenings, and special events throughout the city during Ramadan.
