According to the Household Labor Force Survey results; the number of unemployed individuals aged 15 and over decreased by 25 thousand people in January compared to the previous month, totaling 3 million 2 thousand people.

The unemployment rate decreased by 0.1 points to 8.4 percent.

The unemployment rate was estimated at 6.5 percent for men and 12.1 percent for women.
