Latest News | Retirement holiday bonus increased to 4 thousand lira: Increased by 33 percent

The holiday bonus that 16 million retirees have been eagerly awaiting has been announced. AK Party Group Leader Abdullah Güler stated that retirees’ holiday bonus has been increased from 3 thousand lira to 4 thousand lira. Retirement bonuses will be deposited into accounts before the holiday as usual.
The final decision has been made regarding the increase in holiday bonuses for millions of retirees. The figure has been clarified today. The current holiday bonus, which was 3 thousand liras, has been raised to 4 thousand liras with a 33 percent increase. A bill proposal, including the increase of the retirement holiday bonus to 4 thousand liras and arrangements related to maternity support, has been submitted to the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Retirees receive bonuses for both Ramadan and Eid al-Adha every year. This year, holiday bonuses will be paid in March and June.
16 MILLION RETIREES WILL BENEFIT
Approximately 16 million retirees are expected to benefit from the regulation. Those who became eligible for retirement as of March 1st will also be able to receive the holiday bonus.
AK PARTY GROUP LEADER GÜLER ANNOUNCED
AK Party Group Leader Abdullah Güler, in a press statement, expressed that the amounts of the Ramadan and Eid al-Adha bonuses paid to retirees have been increased from 3 thousand lira to 4 thousand lira, taking budget balance into account.
In his statement, Güler said, “Our Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and Deputy President Cevdet Bey, under the guidance of our esteemed President, have completed the work based on his instructions. This rate has been determined and included in our bill proposal. Good luck to our budget and retirees.”
