Monthly inflation in the South American country dropped to 2.2% in January, reaching its lowest level since mid-2020. Annual inflation also decreased to 84.5%. This development is considered a significant economic achievement for President Milei, who began implementing strict austerity measures over a year ago. Milei continues negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a new agreement.
