Lukashenko reelected as state president for the seventh time: People see everything

After the elections, Belarus State President Alexander Lukashenko started his seventh term in office. Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony in Minsk, Lukashenko defended the future of the exiled opposition by praising the relationship with Russia.
With no serious rival during the presidential elections in January and labeled as “fraudulent” by the opposition, Lukashenko emphasized his country’s determination to maintain independence and stability in his speech at the ceremony. Swearing allegiance to the constitution at the ceremony, Lukashenko stated, “I swear as the President of the Republic of Belarus that I will faithfully serve the people of Belarus, respect and defend the rights and freedoms of individuals and citizens, comply with and protect the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.”
ISSUES A STRONG MESSAGE TO THE OPPOSITION
Making harsh statements towards the exiled Belarusian opposition, Lukashenko said, “You taught us to protect what we have and appreciate its value. People see everything. You do not have any support, and you never will. You have nothing to counter our unity.” Accusing the opposition of promoting sanctions against the country, Lukashenko stated, “Thanks to you who sell the motherland for grants, or rather against you, we have become even stronger. While you endanger our peace, we are defending it. While you beg your masters for sanctions and bombs, we are securing our prosperity.”
“THE WORLD IS SHAKING”
Referring to global developments, Lukashenko claimed that Belarus is on the brink of a major geopolitical crisis, saying, “The world is shaking. One crisis rapidly follows another. Hotspots are increasing. The tension around us is escalating. NATO forces are at our doorstep and doing everything to drag Belarus into conflicts.” However, pointing out that Belarus is not alone, Lukashenko stated, “Fortunately, we have many friends and allies. Brotherly Russia, great China, Commonwealth of Independent States, Shanghai Cooperation Organization, our partners in organizations like BRICS… In fact, countries that make up the global majority today,” indicating that his country receives international support.
