Mandatory Evacuation in Gaza: Israel Expands Evacuation Order

The Israeli army has expanded the evacuation order it issued for the forced displacement of Palestinians in the Ez-Zeytun, Tel el-Heva, and Sheikh Ajlin neighborhoods in the city of Gaza.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, in a social media post from the X account, stated that the area requiring evacuation has been extended to include the old city area in addition to the aforementioned neighborhoods. Adraee issued a warning that this was the last warning before an attack, claiming that rockets were being fired from this area. He emphasized the need for a movement towards the south from this densely populated region.

UN: 142,000 Displaced Amid Resumed Attacks

A United Nations Spokesperson stated that Israel’s continued issuance of evacuation orders and obstruction of humanitarian aid has significantly worsened the situation in Gaza. Following Israel’s resumption of attacks on Gaza, 142,000 individuals have been displaced once again, with evacuation orders covering 17% of Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that they will launch intensive attacks on new areas in Gaza. Katz accused Hamas of endangering the lives and homes of Palestinians in Gaza. 90% of 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced

The Israeli army had previously released maps containing instructions for Palestinians to migrate within Gaza during the attacks that started on October 7, 2023, and continued until the ceasefire reached on January 19, 2025. According to figures shared by the United Nations, approximately 90% of 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced at least once due to the attacks by the Israeli army. On March 18, following the violation of the ceasefire reached on January 19, the Israeli army initiated renewed intense attacks on the Gaza Strip.
