Memur-Sen has demanded that the planned salary increase for some public servants be expanded to cover all civil servants. Ali Yalçın, the President of Memur-Sen, evaluated the additional increase proposal planned for the salaries of public servants in certain positions, which will be discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Yalçın recalled that they have presented proposals for many titles at the 7th Term Collective Bargaining table and noted that the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has a negative approach to these increases. Yalçın expressed that making the planned increase for some titles of civil servants without consulting the social partners is not correct, stating, “We want the increase to be made to encompass the general public servants. We want to see all titles with expectations of an increase, and we want this increase to be gradually and fairly spread to all public servants.”
