Mexican Leader Reveals Phone and Email Were Hacked
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum disclosed that her old phone and email were hacked.
Speaking at a daily press conference, Mexican leader Sheinbaum stated that she had made necessary warnings after noticing the cyberattack. Sheinbaum also mentioned that the targeted email account was old, and her phone was now used not for “personal communication” but to speak with supporters.
WHO IS SHEINBAUM?
Sheinbaum, who won last year’s presidential elections in Mexico with a 60.7% margin, became the country’s first female president. A member of a Jewish family who migrated from Europe to Mexico, Sheinbaum is known as “La Doctora” due to her academic background, having studied physics and completed a PhD in energy engineering at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
