Microsoft Takes Action Against Protester of Deals with Israel

At the 50th-anniversary party of the technology giant Microsoft, a software engineer who protested the company’s agreements with Israel was dismissed from his job.
It was reported that the US technology giant Microsoft fired Moroccan employee Ibtihal Aboussad for protesting the company’s services to Israel.
In an email sent to Aboussad by the company, it was stated: “At Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleiman’s speech at the company’s 50th-anniversary event, you disrupted by shouting and pointing fingers in front of a live audience of thousands, making hostile, baseless, and highly inappropriate accusations towards the CEO, the company, and Microsoft in general.”
It was mentioned that while the CEO tried to maintain composure and calm the situation, Aboussad was escorted out for displaying aggressive behaviors.
The email stated, “The company concluded that your inappropriate behavior was designed to gain notoriety and cause maximal harm to this highly anticipated event. Your failure to apologize is concerning and, in fact, you showed no remorse for the impact of your actions and the impact they have had and will continue to have.”
According to the email, software engineer Aboussad, who worked at the company in Canada, was fired on Monday.
It was noted that another software engineer, Indian Vaniya Agrawal, who had decided to resign before the protest and planned to leave the job on April 11th, had his resignation processed immediately on Monday, April 7th.
