Ministry Reveals 49 Products! Single-clawed meat, leather in meatballs, and offal

The list of foods that could endanger health has been updated. Counterfeiting was detected in 49 products ranging from minced meat to meatballs, from olive oil to cheese. The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has updated the list of foods that have been counterfeited and adulterated, which could endanger health, and identified counterfeiting in 49 products. The number of products that have been tampered with and altered to endanger people’s lives and health has increased by 5 to reach 209. 44 new products have been added to the list of counterfeit and adulterated foods. The number of products that have been confirmed to be counterfeited or adulterated in inspections reached 1,250. Three spice companies based in Gaziantep were found to be using a prohibited dye in their products on the list of foods that could endanger health. In the products of a yogurt production company in Eskişehir, natamycin was detected. Single-clawed meat was also found in the minced meat of Merve Yemek, based in Gaziantep. Counterfeiting was detected in 44 products during inspections. Companies using seed oils in olive oils, foreign substances in spices, and leather and offal in butcher’s meatballs have been exposed.
