Ministry’s Former Cat Returns: New Role as “Cat Relations Consultant”

The former cat of the British Foreign Office, Palmerston, has set aside his retirement to start his new role as the “cat relations consultant” to the Governor of Bermuda.
Palmerston, the former cat of the British Foreign Office, has begun his new role as the “cat relations consultant” to Governor Andrew Murdoch of Bermuda. Palmerston had taken on the task of “catching mice” at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2016, garnering significant social media attention. Governor Andrew Murdoch announced that the cat, previously announced as retired, has taken on a new diplomatic role in Bermuda.
A statement from Palmerston’s social media account read, “Diplomacy and an excellent role have brought me out of retirement. I have started a new job as a cat relations consultant (semi-retired) to Bermuda’s new Governor. I am busy meeting very hospitable people.”
