MKE Converts Land Rover to Electric for Off-Road Use

The Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) has converted the 1993 model “Land Rover 110” vehicle, which is widely found in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory, into an electric car. The vehicle, named MKE E-Arazi, was developed using domestic resources through a recycling process.
During the Winter Exercise 2025 held in Kars, the domestically produced E-Arazi vehicle was introduced by the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE). Developed with domestic resources on the 1993 model Land Rover chassis allocated for recycling by the Turkish Armed Forces, the MKE E-Arazi can reach a maximum speed of 150 kilometers per hour with 335 horsepower. Various additions such as a 360-degree view camera and multimedia screen were also made to the vehicle.
The vehicle will be actively used in challenging terrain conditions by the Turkish Armed Forces.
